Degordons Games
LIVEThree Naija phone games, live on Google Play.
Naija Whot with online rooms, a block puzzle and solitaire, built as light web games and published to Google Play as Android apps.
Why it exists.
Most phone games are heavy downloads that struggle on the cheap Android phones most Nigerians use, and very few feel local. I wanted games that open instantly, use almost no data, and play the rules people grew up with, while still meeting Google Play's review and signing rules.
Degordons Games is a small studio shelf of phone games with a Nigerian feel. Naija Whot plays the card game the way people actually play it at home, against the computer or friends online with a room code. Blokko is a calm block puzzle and Solace Solitaire is classic Klondike. Each one runs in the browser, works offline after the first visit, and ships to Google Play as an Android app.

Naija Whot, online with friends
Hold on, pick two, suspension, general market and Whot 20 the way people play them. Create a room once and the code is yours to keep. If someone's network drops, the computer plays for them until they come back.
Blokko and Solace Solitaire
A no-timer block puzzle with combos, and Klondike with unlimited undo, hints and a daily deal. Solitaire only deals games that can be won.
Offline, light, and on Google Play
Each game caches itself for offline play and is wrapped as a Trusted Web Activity, so the same code is the website and the Android app.
The calls that mattered.
No game engine, no build step
problem · Engines add megabytes and slow first load on low-end phones.
call · Plain JavaScript modules and Canvas 2D. The Android apps come in at around 1.5 MB and open instantly.
The host runs the online match
problem · Online Whot needs every phone to agree on the cards without paying for a game server.
call · One player's phone runs the match and broadcasts each move over Supabase Realtime, stamped so late or repeated messages are ignored.
Test the rules, then test like a player
problem · Card and puzzle rules break in ways nobody notices until a real player gets stuck.
call · Every rule has an automated test, and computer players run thousands of games to catch dead ends and deals that cannot be won.
Three games approved and live on Google Play, all from one small codebase that is also a free website anyone can play.
